RADIO SALES ACCOUNT EXECUTIVE

KOKO 94.3 FM, an independently owned Fresno, California radio station, is desirous of an all around radio person with strength in sales. 

 We are looking for a person that is a self-motivator, good communicator, friendly, reliable, professional, organized, detail-oriented, a multi-tasker that is able to prioritize, manage time well, problem solve and willing to assist other departments in addition to sales. Must possess an ability and willingness to learn, have administrative skills, proficient computer skills with knowledge of Microsoft Vista and its programs and be articulate, relentless, passionate, driven with a sense of humor and flair for fun! 

Job Responsibilities will include but not limited to: 

-Neat appearance and work with the public 

-Advertiser/Client Research, creating proposals and media kits, selling station advertising, customer service, collections, writing commercial copy for your clients, creating spec spots/ideas for prospective clients and possibly producing your commercials/specs

-Promotions – participating in remotes as needed, includes making appearances and hosting special events for Company and/or Company advertisers. Should be able to carry/lift remote and appearance equipment and have the ability to setup remote equipment and appearance displays (signage, broadcast equipment, booth, etc.).

-Be available to work some weekends and evenings for sales, promotional and/or public service events

Additional Job Requirements:
-Bilingual in English and Spanish (written and spoken) preferred

-Radio Engineering aptitude – ability to determine off air situations

-Knowledge of WaveLab, AudioVault and other audio programs desirable

-Ability to work in a small office team environment and be able to take direction from supervisors

-Must have own vehicle with a valid driver’s license and valid auto insurance

Preferred education:
-College education in business, communications or related field
-One or more years experience in broadcasting or at least one or more years of sales experience and a proven track record of sales

Salary is negotiable with sales commissions.  Medical Benefits, many paid holidays and vacation time.
